  • Water Releases Increase at Carlyle Lake

    Carlyle Lake – As of 9:00 a.m., Friday, February 21, the pool elevation at Carlyle Lake is 443.94 feet, referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD), with a release of approximately 3,160 cubic feet per second (cfs) and Thursday’s inflow was approximately 6,250 cfs. A series of gate changes will be made today to increase releases to approximately 4,860 cfs. The river is considered bank full at 4,000 cfs. Due to the previous rainfall, Carlyle Lake is predicted to crest on Sunday at 445.5 feet NGVD without additional precipitation. The winter target pool elevation for Carlyle Lake is 443.0 feet NGVD.
  • Dam West Boat Ramp Closed for Polar Plunge

    CARLYLE LAKE – The Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge is being held at Carlyle Lake on Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the Dam West Day Use Area. In order to accommodate the Polar Plunge activities, the Dam West Boat Ramp will be closed to the general public from Friday, February 21st at noon through Saturday, February 22nd at 4:00 p.m. The closest available boat ramps to Dam West are the Allen Branch Boat Ramp and the Apache Boat Ramp located in Eldon Hazlet State Park or the Dam East Boat Ramp which will be available to the general public during this period.
