  • Lake Shelbyville Quilt Show

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Shelbyville will be hosting a Quilt Show from Tuesday, July 8 to Sunday, July 13 at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center during normal hours of operation. As a reminder, the Visitor Center is open Sunday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Family oriented activities will be taking place throughout the weekend; all activities are free and open to the public. The highlight of the weekend activities will be the Fireworks Spectacular from point one at dusk on Saturday, June 28th.

While participating in water related recreation activities, always wear your life jacket. Over two-thirds of people who drown never had any intention of being in the water.
  • Backyard Campout Program on June 14th, 2014

    The Army Corps of Engineers at Rend Lake invites kids of all ages to the Environmental Science Series program on Saturday, June 14 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Rend Lake Project Office/ Visitor Center located on the West side of Rend Lake Dam. This program entitled “Backyard Campout” will be presented by park rangers.

    The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake is pleased to announce they have recently recruited volunteers to assist with trail maintenance. All trails managed by the Corps of Engineers at Wappapello are part of the National Recreation Trail System.

  • Waterfest is Coming!

    The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers welcomes you on Saturday, July 5, for the Annual Ranger Willie B. Safe’s Wet ‘n Wild Waterfest. This FREE event is co-sponsored with the SEMO Regional Water Safety Council along with many other businesses and will be held at the Redman Creek Beach from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Day use fees will be waived at the Redman Creek Beach for the event.
