Lake Shelbyville Water Control Public Meeting RESCHEDULED
Lake Shelbyville – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Water Control public meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center has rescheduled for February 19, 2019. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the current water control plan for Lake Shelbyville, water control operations, and dam safety. Engineering staff from the USACE St. Louis District office will present information about water control operations and procedures, and dam safety. The Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center is located east of the Lake Shelbyville Main Dam at 1989 State Hwy. 16 Shelbyville, IL 62565. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Wolf Creek State Park will hold the 29th Annual Lake Shelbyville Deer Hunt for People with Disabilities during the first firearm deer season on November 16-18, 2018. The hunt will be conducted in portions of recreation areas at Lake Shelbyville that are closed for the season.
