    Massman Construction Company requests permit reauthorization to continue periodic maintenance excavating of up to 30,000 cubic yards of river deposition material, over a 10-year authorization period, adjacent to their existing river terminal. Excavated material would continue to be placed within a bermed disposal area at Massman's existing landside staging area. The Public Notice comment period opens April 25, 2023 and closes on May 15, 2023.

    The applicant, Oakley’s of St. Louis, requests Department of the Army permit authorization to leave in place a work area used for the reconstruction of the Merchants Bridge. Now that the Merchants Bridge project is complete, the applicant seeks to utilize the authorized fill and infrastructure for the operation of a liquid fertilizer dock.

  • Missouri Stream Mitigation Method Draft

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Districts within the State of Missouri (Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Rock Island, St. Louis) (Corps) initially finalized the MSMM on March 1, 2007. The MSSM is the primary tool the Corps uses to determine the amount of stream impacts and the appropriateness of compensatory mitigation proposals for Department of the Army permit actions within the State of Missouri. This updated revision of the MSMM will enhance the Corps ability to protect the Nation’s aquatic resources, while allowing reasonable development through fair, flexible and balanced permit decisions. The MSMM was further developed and modified using best available information and scientific concepts on May 29, 2013, and the Corps is planning to update the MSMM again. Thus, the Corps is requesting public comment on the most recent draft version of the MSMM. Comments: The Public Notice comment period is open from April 14, 2023 through May 14, 2023. You may submit comments by individual e-mail message or by mailing them to the address located in the Public Notice document.

    The Project includes an approximately 1.3 million square foot warehouse and associated support facilities including entrance roads, parking, and a guard shack. Roadway access will be provided to the development from Lakeview Corporate Drive. The purpose of the Project is to support continued economic development within Lakeview Commerce Center and the surrounding area. To construct the development, the Applicant proposes to fill and relocate 1,927 linear feet (1.19- acre) of tributary (County Ditch) around the development in a new 3,000 linear foot open-channel.
