    The Sponsor (Sunflower Enterprise) has submitted the Lewis County Stream and Wetland Mitigation Bank prospectus, which proposes two alternative mitigation bank options/concepts. The St. Louis And Rock Island District share the Central Plains/Cuivre/Salt Ecological Drainage Unit Service Area for this bank proposal and therefore will be requesting comments from both areas of responsibility. The Public Notice comment period is open from 4 April 2025 through 5 May 2025.

  • Special Public Notice: The Acceptance of Funds from Illinois Department of Transportation to Expedite Permit Application Review and Jurisdictional Determinations

    This Special Public Notice announces the decision of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago, Louisville, Memphis, Rock Island, and St. Louis Districts (Corps) to accept and expend funds from the Illinois Department of Transportation to expedite processing of their Department of the Army (DA) permit applications. This decision follows a previous public noticed issued by the Chicago, Louisville, Memphis, Rock Island, and St. Louis Districts on July 23, 2024, that solicited public comment on the aforementioned funding arrangement. Following consideration of comments received on the initial public notice, on July 23, 2024, the Chicago, Louisville, Memphis, Rock Island, and St. Louis District Commander’s determined that acceptance and expenditure of such funds would be appropriate in accordance with Section 214 of the Water Resources Development Act of 2000, (WRDA 2000, Public Law No. 106-541), as amended, title 23 of the U.S. Code (U.S.C.) and Section 139(j).
