The applicant, Mr. Jeffery Keirn, of the Illinois Department of Transportation-District 8 in Collinsville, IL, seeks authorization to replace a series of structures on IL Route 161 over Crooked Creek and Crooked Creek Overflow and the placement of riprap for scour countermeasures. The project also includes raising the road approximately 3 feet, resulting in +/-1.1 miles in roadway improvements. The project will have 3.513 acres of wetlands impacted by the overall project and 395 trees removed. The applicant proposes to mitigate the wetlands impacted and trees removed at various ratios per IDOT specifications.
