Three maintained sand beaches offer swimmers a place to bring the children, relax and enjoy the summer sunshine.

Three beaches offer swimmers sunshine with plenty of shade only a few yards away on the shore. The beaches, located at Peoples Creek, Redman Creek, and Rockwood Point Recreation Areas, are wonderful places for the entire family to spend an afternoon of swimming and sunbathing. When visiting the beaches at Wappapello Lake, always observe and obey the posted beach rules and regulations. Use the buddy system and wear a personal flotation device (PFD). Also, a responsible person should keep an eye on children as there are no life guards on duty.

This area is open to the public with a day use pass and offers a large bathhouse, foot wash station, parking, picnicking, grills, volleyball, swimming, and mooring areas for boats. A fee of $2.00/day for people 16 years of age and older, or up to $5.00/vehicle/day is applicable unless you are a registered camper or have a valid annual day pass.

Depending on the lake level beaches open mid April to the mid or end of September.

When beaches are open the daily hours from Dawn to Dusk.
