    The City of Alton requests authorization to use a hydraulic dredge to annually remove up to 37,000 cubic yards of accumulated sediments, on an as needed basis, from the existing Alton Marina basin. Dredge material would be transported across and along the bottom of the Mississippi River in a 12 to 18-inch diameter, ballasted pipeline to its proposed open water disposal site, located at approximate river mile 202.3. The Alton Marina is located at #1 Henry Street, near the left descending bank of the Mississippi River, at approximate river mile 202.4, in the City of Alton, Madison County, Illinois. Open water discharge of dredge material would be placed near the right descending bank of the Mississippi River at approximate river mile 202.3. The Public Notice comment period opens August 27, 2019 and closes September 18, 2019.

    The applicant, G'Sell Homes LLC., has applied for a Department of the Army Permit for the project known as Wolf Hollow Estates II Future Phase. The applicant seeks authorization for the placement of fill material into waters of the United States seeks authorization for the placement of fill material into waters of the United States for the development of a 69-lot, single family residential development, including roadway and utilities. Located within the project site is an intermittent tributary. The onsite channel is proposed to be placed in a 60” diameter pipe for 630 feet, for the development of lots. The pipe will then outfall into an in-stream detention basin for approximately 180 linear feet. The total impacts to the onsite stream for piping and construction of the detention basin is 810 linear feet. The project is located south of I-55, north of Wolf Hollow Road and West of Old State Road, in the City of Imperial. The project is located in Sections 19, Township 42 North, Range 6 East, Jefferson County. Written comments must be submitted by replying by electronic mail or written mail to the address in the notice. The Public Notice comment period opens August 16, 2019 and closes September 5, 2019.
