The project is located south of Annapolis, Missouri and east of Hwy 149 (Funk Branch Road) heading southeast out of Annapolis. More specifically, the project site occurs in Sections 22 & 27, Township 31 North, Range 3 East, Iron County, Missouri. The approximate geographic coordinates of the site are 37.342918° north, -90.705035° east. The public notice comment period is from August 25, 2016, through September 15, 2016.

    The applicant, The City of Frontenac, seeks a modification and time extension to a previously authorized storm water project to increase capacity within an unnamed tributary to Deer Creek in order to reduce residential flooding of residences. The proposed project extends channel modification activities for an additional 340 linear feet immediately upstream of the previously authorized and completed standard permit. The original permit included a 500 linear foot modification in the unnamed tributary and 100 linear foot bank stabilization in Deer Creek. The proposed channel modifications should decrease the existing 15 year flooding depth at 21 Glen Abbey by 0.23 feet (2.76 inches). The Public Notice comment period opens August 18, 2016 and closes September 8, 2016.
