  • Corps of Engineers, Cahokia Heights host groundbreaking ceremony

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, along with the city of Cahokia Heights and other officials, will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Monday, April 1, to celebrate the start of the sanitary sewer trunkline rehabilitation project.
  • Installation of Wayside Exhibits at Wappapello Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake invites you to come out and see some of the new interpretive wayside exhibits that have been recently installed. These exhibits are located along the Lake View Trail near the culverts on T Highway, Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor Center, Eagle Point Overlook, south end of the dam, fish cleaning station parking area, and the pollinator garden at the Greenhouse. The Lake View Trail runs from Redman Creek Campground East and along the dam and connects to Peoples Creek Recreation Area. This multi-use trail is paved and available for walkers, runners, and cyclists.
  • Carlyle Lake receives national water safety award

    The U.S. Army Corps f Engineers, St. Louis District’s, Carlyle Lake was recently recognized as the 2024 USACE National Water Safety Team of the Year for their exceptional efforts in promoting water safety throughout the 2023 recreation season. Despite facing numerous challenges, the Carlyle Lake Water Safety Team demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation in spreading the message of recreating safely while in and near the water to the millions of visitors who frequented the beaches and boat ramps at Carlyle Lake in Carlyle, Illinois.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces remediation activities in Florissant subdivision

    ST. LOUIS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) St. Louis District, under its Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP), has begun sampling activities in a subdivision located in Florissant, Missouri. This initiative includes portions of the right-of-way of Cades Cove Drive and on the common grounds adjacent to Coldwater Creek.
