The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake invites you to come out and see some of the new interpretive wayside exhibits that have been recently installed. These exhibits are located along the Lake View Trail near the culverts on T Highway, Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor Center, Eagle Point Overlook, south end of the dam, fish cleaning station parking area, and the pollinator garden at the Greenhouse. The Lake View Trail runs from Redman Creek Campground East and along the dam and connects to Peoples Creek Recreation Area. This multi-use trail is paved and available for walkers, runners, and cyclists.
"You Are Here “ directional signs have also been installed along some of the trails. Additional wayside interpretive exhibits have been installed along the Bicycle Trail in the Greenville Day Use Area and Campground. New individual trail guides are available upon request at no cost. More newly created great resources include an adventure activity book, maps, brochures, signs, and sculptures. Maps and other literature can be obtained from the Project Office and Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor Center.
The Project Office is open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 4p.m.. The visitor center is open weekends only 10 a.m - 4 p.m. and will be open daily staring Memorial Day weekend.
