    Lone Point Campground Now Open At Lake Shelbyville Lake Shelbyville – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Shelbyville would like to announce Lone Point Campground is now open. Lone Point Campground is 100% reservable and campers must have a reservation through R1S prior to setting up on a campsite. Campers are reminded to follow CDC guidelines while recreating at Lake Shelbyville. Lone Point Group Camp is also open and available by online reservation. Group camp reservations must be 2 weeks in advance and no greater than 1 year in advance. The group camp is available for single site first come, first served camping when there are no reservations posted. For campsite availability or to make a reservation, please visit www.recreation.gov. Reservations by phone at 1-877-444-6777 are scheduled to resume on July 1, 2020.   • High Water Continues at Lake Shelbyville

    High Water Continues at Lake Shelbyville Lake Shelbyville – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Lake Shelbyville continues to report high water conditions at the lake. The pool elevation is 11.28 feet above normal summer pool (599.7 feet referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD). The level as of 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 was 610.98 feet NVGD. The discharge rate was 1990 cubic feet per second (cfs) and the inflow was 820 cfs.
  • US Army Corps of Engineers Campground Openings at Carlyle Lake

    Carlyle Lake – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Carlyle Lake is pleased to announce the opening of campgrounds at Carlyle Lake for the recreation season at noon on Monday, June 1, 2020. This includes Dam West, Dam East Spillway, McNair, Coles Creek and Boulder campgrounds. In addition, all boat ramps, day use areas, and hiking and biking trails will continue to remain open. The Project Office, Visitor Center, Lotus Group Area, McNair Area C, beaches, playgrounds, and picnic shelters will remain closed. Special events, including USACE-sponsored events, interpretive programs, fishing tournaments, and dam tours are also on hold until further notice. All day use fees are waived through October 1, 2020.
