Many free activities planned for the occasion including a ribbon cutting ceremony, kids fishing tournament, National Wild Turkey Federation archery & BB gun stations, canoe paddling lessons, boat rides, and many other activities.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District will hold a public meeting regarding cottage site leases Monday, May 18, 2015 at the National Great Rivers Museum, #2 Lock and Dam Way, Alton, Illinois, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The meeting will provide additional information and updates about the Department of the Army Lease for Cottage Site Purposes, mainly focusing on the lease renewal process and how rental rates are determined. There will also be an opportunity to discuss general terms of the lease and lessee responsibilities.
