  • Carlyle Lake Update and Weekend Activities

    CARLYLE LAKE - As of 2:00 p.m. on Monday June 22, 2015, the pool elevation at Carlyle Lake was 453.52 feet, referenced to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD), with a release rate of approximately 5,000 cubic feet of water per second (cfs). The inflow for Sunday June 21, 2015 was approximately 17,680 day second feet (dsf). Without additional rainfall, Carlyle Lake is forecast to crest at 454.20 ft. NGVD on Monday June 23, 2015.
  • Carlyle Lake Fireworks Spectacular Re-Scheduled

    CARLYLE LAKE – Due to high water at Carlyle Lake, the Fireworks Spectacular scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2015 has been postponed. The event has been re-scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2015. All activities including the Dam Jam, Sandcastle Building Contest and Volleyball Tournament will be held on September 5th.
  • Spalding and Indian Creek Beaches Closed due to High Water

    Mark Twain Lake is experiencing higher than normal water levels due to the recent rainfall in the watershed. The lake is expected to crest at less than 622.5 NGVD by Wednesday, June 24, with no additional precipitation. The normal pool elevation is 606 NGVD.

    Carlyle Lake will hold a public workshop Monday night to provide updated information on water control operations at the lake.
