January 20 8th Annual Luminary Walk

General Dacey Trail at Forest Park 6:00-8:00PM Come and enjoy the 500 luminaries on the trail that light up 2.5 miles! Over 150 luminaries will be hanging in the trees.

February 10 Eagle Day

Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center Eagles for Kids: 10-10:30AM; Eagle Talk & Gawk: 11AM-12PM; Birds of Prey: 12:30-1:30PM Presented by Illinois Raptor Center, Decatur, IL.

April 14-15 Shelby County Art Show

Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center 4/14: 3-7PM 4/15: 12-5PM • Enjoy art from middle school aged kids to local Shelby County professional artists—past & present! • Onsite demos.

April 20 Spores N  More!

Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center Check-In: 7:00-8:30AM Tour Beautiful Lake Shelbyville from a bike seat! 3 Routes available based on experience level Hosted by Lake Volunteers Association; Cost for event includes snacks, drinks & event t-shirt.

July 4 Lake Shelbyville Fireworks

Dam West Recreation Area Dusk Shelbyville Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with USACE Lake Shelbyville will host the annual fireworks show on Lake Shelbyville.

July 7 Dog Days of Summer Dog Show

Coon Creek Amphitheater Bring your favorite pooch! Registration-5:30PM Show time-6PM. Dog must be kept on a <6 ft. leash. Prizes available, no cost to enter or attend!
