Lake Shelbyville– The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting the 4th Annual Eagle Day event on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center. Treat your valentine to a free show celebrating our national symbol and other birds of prey!
New to Eagle Day this year, the Illinois Raptor Center will be presenting a short 30 minute program just for kids! Raptors for Kids begins at 10:00 a.m. There will also be two 50 minute Birds of Prey programs featuring a live bald eagle along with other live birds of prey. The first program starts at 11:00 a.m. and the second program will start at 1:00 p.m. There is no cost to attend the program, however only 150 seats will be available per showing. A portion of tickets for the programs will be available to be picked up in person on a first come first serve basis at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. beginning Monday, February 9, 2015. No more than 6 tickets per person can be reserved prior to the event date.
