Beach Blast to be Held at South Sandusky Beach

Benton, IL - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Rend Lake invites you to join us as we host the annual Rend Lake Beach Blast, Saturday, June 7th, at the South Sandusky Beach. Common beach activities such as sand castle building and relay games will take on a whole new look as Rend Lake Park Rangers lead activities that show you how to stay safe around the water, while still having fun. Participants can sign up to win prizes and ribbons by participating in activities throughout the day. This popular event, full of family fun, will kick off at noon and run until 4:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there.

12:15 – 12:45  Sign up for Water Safety Sand Sculpture Contest

12:15 – 12:45  Water Safety Relay

1:30 – 2:00      Color Me Safe

2:00 – 2:30      Air Evac: Helicopter demonstration on the North side of the beach

2:30                 Judging of the Water Safety Sand Sculpture Contest begins

2:30 – 3:00      Water Safety Slogan Game

3:00 – 3:30      Presentation of Awards:

3:30 – 4:00      Floatation Fashion Show: 3:30-4:00 pm
