Lake Shelbyville – The 2014 camping season will begin with the early opening of Area 5 at the Forrest W. “Bo” Wood Campground on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. These campsites (114 – 141) are available on a first come, first served basis and sites will be paid for using the honor vault system until Thursday, April 17, 2014. From May 8 to May 14, prior to the official opening date, Lone Point Campground is offering FREE first come, first served camping. Lone Point Campground will host an Open House on May 9 and May 10. There will be activities for all ages, inflatable bounce houses, bands, and more!

Reservations for group camping and individual sites at Lake Shelbyville, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) campgrounds can be made by calling toll free 1-877-444-6777, online at www.recreation.gov, or in person at the campground fee booth when open.
Public Beach Season Dates and Fees
Sullivan Beach, Wilborn Creek Beach, and Dam West Beach
· Open: May 24—September 7
· Day use fee: $1.00 per person per day, not to exceed $4.00 per vehicle
· Children under 13 are FREE
· Public beaches are free for USACE Lake Shelbyville campers (must properly display vehicle tag)

Annual passes for public swimming beaches and boat launches are available for $30.00/year. Annual passes can be purchased Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m to 4:30 p.m. at the Lake Shelbyville Project Office, at USACE campground fee booths when open, and Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the West Okaw Wildlife Management Area Office near Bethany, IL.

Tours of the Dam are available on Saturdays and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. from Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day Weekend. Tours are open to the public and there is no cost to attend.
