BENTON, IL – Visitors of all ages are welcome to attend the Trick or Treat the Visitor Center event on October 31 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rend Lake Visitor Center. The event will feature several family friendly activities designed to educate and entertain participants.
From 10 to 11am, there will be a special, live animal program highlighting “creepy critters,” followed by a critter meet and greet until 1pm. Seating for the live animal program will be limited and available on a first come first serve basis. All day activities include a glow in the dark scavenger hunt in the Visitor Center Exhibit Hall, a “Trek n’ Treat” around the Catfish Cove trail adjacent to the Visitor Center, booths from local businesses and organizations, and of course candy and other giveaway items!
