ST. LOUIS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Louis District will host an open house this evening from 5-8 p.m., to discuss preliminary results from sampling efforts for radioactive material at Jana Elementary School in Florissant, Missouri, under the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP).

“We have completed our sampling efforts both inside and outside Jana Elementary and tonight we will discuss our preliminary findings, which continue to confirm that from a radiological standpoint, the school is safe,“ said Col. Kevin Golinghorst, St. Louis District commander. “We are committed to this community and look forward to sharing our data and continuing this dialogue as we progress in our efforts. This public engagement is just the first of many conversations.”
