Dog Show Planned at Lake Shelbyville

NEWS RELEASE

Lake Shelbyville – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is inviting area residents and their canine pets to join them for the 24th annual Lake Shelbyville Dog Days of Summer Dog Show on Saturday, July 7, 2018.

Participants can enter their dogs in the following categories: Best Trick, Best Dressed, Smallest Dog, Biggest Dog, and Most Precious Puppy. There will be prizes awarded to the winners of each category. Owners can enter multiple dogs, but only one dog per owner will be allowed in each category.

All dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet in length while at the show and in any recreational area at Lake Shelbyville. This leash regulation is to ensure the safety of both animals and people. Dogs present must also be up to date on all of their vaccines.

The event will be held at Coon Creek Recreation Area Amphitheater (1633 N 2175 East Rd. Shelbyville, IL 62565). Registration begins at 5:30 PM, and the show starts at 6 PM.
