Boaters Can Earn $75 Cash
Lake Shelbyville - You can earn $75.00 for approximately two hours of your time participating in a focus group session if you are an adult male boater between the ages of 20 and 60, who is available on the afternoon of April 28, 2018. The Corps of Engineers Natural Resources Education Foundation, doing business as The Corps Foundation, is working in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to conduct a focus group session with men who don’t always wear a life jacket while boating and swimming. We are seeking feedback on our "Life Jackets Worn…Nobody Mourns" campaign products, including a new mobile game app.
The focus group session will be held at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center, located at 1989 IL-16, Shelbyville, IL. The two-hour session will begin at 12:30 p.m. and end at approximately 2:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Focus group participants do not have to own a boat, but you must be an adult male who has been boating. We would also like for participants to download and play the free mobile game app called Lake Guard, prior to attending. Participants also need to bring either a smart phone or tablet capable of downloading and testing another new free mobile game app. Men interested in participating should call 618-301-0508 between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to register. Space is limited to a first-come, first-serve basis so call soon and ask to be a focus group participant.
The Corps Foundation is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, dedicated to supporting our nation’s lakes, rivers and their many resources. The focus group session is funded by a grant from the Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Trust Fund, administered by the U.S. Coast Guard.
