Owls of Illinois Presentation at the Case-Halstead Library

CARLYLE LAKE – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in partnership with the Case-Halstead Library, Carlyle, IL will be hosting “Owls of Illinois” on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from  9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Case Halsted Library.  Beginning at 9:30 Park Rangers will be on hand reading books about owls and helping participants make a pine cone owl craft to take home.  At 11:00 a.m. Beverly Shofstal of Free Again Wildlife Rehabilitation will be presenting “Owls of Illinois”.  Beverly will be bringing many different species of owls, sharing stories about their rehabilitation, unique characteristics, and their importance to Illinois ecosystems.
