CARLYLE LAKE – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Carlyle Lake will continue routine road maintenance and resurfacing work at various locations. These closures are necessary to provide public safety while work crews are on-site, all work is scheduled to be completed by October 31. During this timeframe expect intermittent closures as areas are prepared and maintenance is completed.
Areas impacted will include the Multi-user Bike Trail and entrance road to the West Access Marina on October 3rd. The Dam East Spillway road including the East Spillway Campground will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday October 4th, also on October 4th, the Steins Access road will have intermittent closures for resurfacing. The Patoka Boat Ramp and Access road will have intermittent closures for resurfacing on Thursday, October 5th. Coles Creek Campground Loop #4 will close for the recreation season on October 10th for campsite resurfacing.
Other areas that will have future closures include: the Coles Creek entrance road and the entrance road to the Lotus Group Area, the entrance road to Boulder Campground, and the James Hawn Access road.
