Wappapello Lake Flood Update, 5-11-17

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Wappapello Lake reminds visitors that the Pine Ridge Nature Trail and Fish Cleaning Station located in the Spillway Recreation Area will remain closed until further notice. This area is off limits to all traffic including foot traffic.

As of Thursday May 11, 2017 the lake level was 392.82 feet N.G.V.D with a discharge of 10,000 cubic feet per second. Redman Creek Campground (east and west) and Peoples Creek Upper Campground are open. Portions of the Spillway Recreation area to include both sides of the Outlet Channel are open. The Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor Center is currently open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Peoples Creek Lower and Greenville Campgrounds remain closed until further notice.
