Corps seeking Public Feedback for Ste. Genevieve Report
ST. LOUIS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District is hosting a public meeting to provide information and gather public feedback on the Sainte Genevieve General Reevaluation Report.
The meeting will take place Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Ste. Genevieve City Hall, 165 S. 4th Street, Ste. Genevieve, MO 63670. The Corps of engineers will begin the meeting at 6:30 p.m. with a brief presentation regarding the study and will then conduct a question and answer session. This is an opportunity for the public to provide comments and engage with Corps of Engineers’ subject matter experts on any issues or concerns with the draft report. The draft report is currently available for public review and comments until December 16, 2016 and can be found at: http://bit.ly/SteGen.
Since 1999, the Sainte Genevieve, MO, project has had a General Reevaluation of the unconstructed portions of the project underway. The study has recently been approved to release the draft report for public review. The draft report presents the tentatively selected plans for addressing flash flooding on two creeks and also proposes recreational components related to the Mississippi River Levee.
