Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program contractors collect soil samples at intervals of every six inches for up to ten feet below surface near Central Stone Quarry at the confluence of Coldwater Creek and the Missouri River to collect soil samples during ongoing efforts to find and remediate radioactive waste stemming from Manhattan Engineer District and early Atomic Energy Commission activities in north St. Louis County.
