During the 2014 National Public Lands Day event, volunteers around the nation, including those at Carlyle Lake, Lake Shelbyville, Mark Twain Lake, Rend Lake, Riverlands and Wappapello Lake visited their favorite parks, beaches, wildlife preserves, and forests to chip in to help improve these treasured places - celebrating NPLD, the largest, single-day volunteer event for public lands in our country.
