National Public Lands Day
On Saturday, September 27, volunteers around the nation, including those at Carlyle Lake, Lake Shelbyville, Mark Twain Lake, Rend Lake, Riverlands and Wappapello Lake (September 24) will visit their favorite parks, beaches, wildlife preserves, or forests and chip in to help improve these treasured places – and to celebrate National Public Lands Day, the largest, single-day volunteer event for public lands in our country.
