More than 800 people explored the Motor Vessel MISSISSIPPI at Cape Girardeau, Mo., Aug. 17 during one of two Open Houses hosted by the St. Louis District. The Vessel, which hosted the Mississippi River Commission Public Hearing in Alton, Ill., Aug. 16, serves not only as the flag ship for the Commission, it is a working towboat 90 percent of the time.
