Mike Feldmann Deputy for Programs and Project Management

Michael Feldmann was selected as the St. Louis District’s deputy for Programs and Project Management in June 2014. Prior to this assignment he served as assistant deputy for Programs and Project Management.

Feldmann began his career with the St. Louis District, Corps of Engineers in 1985 as a student working at the Melvin Price Locks and Dam construction project. During his time with the Corps, he has been involved in a wide variety of civil works projects including levee and building construction, recreation facilities construction, Lock and Dam repair/rehab work, and hazardous, toxic, radioactive waste remediation contracts.

Upon completion of his engineering degree, Feldmann served nearly 20 years with Construction Management responsibilities in the district including assignment as Area Engineer for the Central Area Office (2000-2008) where he held an Administrative Contracting Officer Warrant.  He has also served as Assistant Chief, Engineering and Construction Division (2008-2013) as well as several other brief assignments including Deputy to the Commander (June 2010 – August 2010); Chief, Project Management Branch  (August 2010 – April 2011); and Chief, Engineering and Construction Division (May 2011 – September 2011). Feldmann also supported the Corps' Overseas Contingency Operations mission serving as the Chief of Engineering and Construction Division for the Afghanistan Engineer District (2004-2005)

Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Feldmann received a Bachelors of Science degree in civil engineering from Southern Illinois University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri and a member of the Society of American Military Engineers. He has received several honorary awards including the Commanders Award of Civilian Service for Project Management duties managing repair of the Melvin Price Locks and Dam as well as the Superior Civilian Service Award and the Army Civilian Soldier Commendation for service to the Afghanistan Engineer District.
