Blackpowder Rendezvous - April 16 - 17, 2016
Travel back in time to relive history as you see tepees, lodges and people in primitive dress. Smell the smoke of open campfires and freshly shot gunpowder. Enjoy riding to and from the event site in a wagon pulled by a team of mules. Traders will also be abundant with numerous hand-crafted items and other goods available for purchase. This event is located just off U.S. Highway 67 at the Greenville Recreation Area, two miles south of Greenville, Missouri.
Annual Kid's Fishing Fun Day - July 25, 2016
This annual event is a day for kids to connect with nature and outdoor activities. It includes fishing, hiking, water safety games, air rifle shooting and archery. All fishing equipment and bait are provided. The event is for children ages 5 - 14 and starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 11:00 a.m. The event will take place at the Lost Creek Pond which is located 8 miles north of the Wappapello Lake Dam. Trophies will be awarded for the Biggest Fish and the Most Fish in each age division. The event is partnered with Missouri Department of Conservation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Ranger Willie's Wet and Wild Water Safety Festival - July 2, 2016
Come out and enjoy a day of fun-n-the-sun!! This event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is full of Water Safety games and activities to include; Life Jacket Fashion Show, Pass the Sponge, Sand Sculpture Contest, Inner Tube Race, Hypothermia Game, OHIO (Optical Hydro Illusion Obstacle) Challenge, Tug-O-War, Water Balloon Toss and Cardboard Boat Race. This event is FREE to attend and prizes will be given away all day to include. This event is partnered with the SEMO Regional Water Safety Council and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Annual W.O.O.D.S. (Wappapello Outdoor Opportunities for Disabled Sportman) Event - September 12, 2015
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wappapello Lions Club, Missouri Department of Conservation, Independant Living Center of Poplar Bluff and the National Wild Turkey Federation along with numerous volunteers work together to provide a fun day of free fishing and outdoor sports activities for mentally and physically challenged people. Pontoon boats, fishing equipment, personal flotation devices (life jackets), archery equipment, air guns, informative programs and lunch are provided to all who would like to participate. Individuals can choose to participate in as many activities as desired. There will be special guest who will provide interactive and hands on seminars through out the day. The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Redman Creek Recreation Area. This event is free to attend but you must register by calling 573-686-2333 ext. 227
Annual Old Greenville Days - September 19 - 20, 2015
Enjoy arts and crafts displays and demonstrations, funnel cakes, fried pies and Bar-B-Q, bluegrass and gospel music, old time children's games and much more. This living history event will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. No fee is required for each 10'x10' to 10' x 20' booth for exhibitors and vendors. This event is free to attend.
National Public Lands Day - September 26, 2015
National Public Lands Day is a time to celebrate all of the wonders and resources of this GREAT COUNTRY! Please help us celebrate by participating in a day of cleanup along roadways and trails around Wappapello Lake. After the cleanup a free Lunch will be provided.
Festival of Lights Christmas Auto Tour - Nov. 27 - Dec. 27, 2015
The 22nd Annual Festival of Lights Christmas Auto Tour will be held at the Redman Creek East Campground. This event will be partnered again this year with the Wappapello Lions Club and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Approximately 250,000 lights will transform this campground into a winter wonderland that will help to bring in the Holiday Spirit. Local businesses and individuals decorate sites with as many lights as possible. Sites are free and the event is free to attend.
