Published Aug. 14, 2015

Mark Twain Lake, Monroe City, Missouri – Storyteller Pablo Baum will share “Trail of Tears” at the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center on August 22, 2015 at 2 p.m.  1838 was a year of American disgrace: The forced expulsion of five Native American tribes from the Southeast, through Missouri, to what is today Oklahoma.  The brutal winter and a shortage of food led to incalculable loss of life along the way.  Every grave was dug with tears.  You can also join Pablo that evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Ray Behrens Amphitheater for another showing of the program.
