Corp of Engineers' Riverlands anniversary events cancelled due to government shutdown

Alton, Ill. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District's Rivers Project Office has cancelled the 25th Anniversary ceremony and the Great Rivers Festival due to the extended government shutdown.

The events were scheduled for Friday, Oct. 11 and Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Audubon Center at Riverlands and the National Great Rivers Museum, respectively. The Great Rivers Festival will be held again next year.

Other scheduled programs and events through the Rivers Project Office and the National Great Rivers Museum are also postponed until further notice. For additional information, contact the St. Louis District Public Affairs representative, Mike Petersen at (314) 331-8002.
