Memorial Day Weekend at Lake Shelbyville

 

Lake Shelbyville The Lake Shelbyville U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is gearing up for a busy Memorial Day weekend.  Campground programs are on the agenda for Saturday evening and rangers will be on beach and lake patrol throughout the weekend.

Campground Programs:

#LakeShelbyvilleMDW19 Instagram Challenge for All Lake Shelbyville USACE Campers in Bo Wood, Lithia Springs, Coon Creek, and Opossum Creek. Instructions from the sign posted at your campground amphitheater and on our new LakeShelbyvilleUSACE Instagram page; winners will redeem prizes at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center.

Saturday, May 25

6:30-7:30PM | Ninja Night | Forrest W. “Bo” Wood Amphitheater

Are you up for the challenge? Join us for a night of outdoor fitness.

7:30-8:30PM | Nature Game Show | Lithia Springs Amphitheater

Volunteers will be selected to draw pictures of items found in nature. The crowd will be divided into teams - be careful where you sit!

 

Children age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult for most programs.  All Lake Shelbyville USACE programs are free and open to the public unless otherwise stated.

Before heading to the lake, please ensure each person in your group has a properly fitted life jacket.  Remember, it can’t save your life if you don’t wear it!  For additional information regarding Lake Shelbyville facilities or events, please contact the Lake Shelbyville Project Office at (217)774-3951.
