Public Meetings

Interested parties are hereby notified that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has prepared a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) for the Middle Mississippi River Regulating Works Project. The DSEIS is available for public review and comment. A Notice of Availability appeared in the Federal Register on November 4, 2016. The comment period was initially scheduled to end on December 19, 2016. However, the comment period has been extended and will now end on January 18, 2017. USACE is hosting two open house style public meetings to provide information and gather public feedback on the DSEIS. The open house events will be held in Cape Girardeau, MO and Alton, IL. They will provide information on the Corps of Engineers’ river engineering mission on the Middle Mississippi River with subject matter experts available to answer questions. This will also be an opportunity for the public to provide comments and engage with Corps of Engineers’ subject matter experts on any issues or concerns with the Regulating Works Project Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement.
