2010 ANNUAL 

GREAT RIVER RENDEZVOUS
SATURDAY, MAY 22, 2010* 

Family Campout Rules
 

Note the Family Campout is Friday before the Great River Rendezvous, campers wishing to participate in the Race or Social Paddle will need to let the Camp Staff know that they intend to participate.


1.  One chaperone will be required for each group.

2.  Campers are required to setup all their camping gear.

3.  Campers are required to bring all necessary equipment and personable belongings including bug spray, flashlights, and clothing, etc.

4.  Camping will be permitted on the museum grounds east of the picnic pavilion and restrooms. Only tent camping will be allowed. No Campers.

5.  Lifejackets will be provided for kayaking.

6.  Please remember it is the responsibility of the Chaperone’s and not the National Great Rivers Museum staff to make sure campers are well behaved and respectful. Please remind your campers that they will be learning and having fun simultaneously. They need to listen to each speaker and participate in the programs.

7.  Campers will be required to drive over to the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary for the Kayaking clinic and Bird Watching Hike.

8.  The family campout is a non-alcoholic event.

9.  The family campout is handicap accessible.  If you need further assistance, please contact the National Great Rivers Museum at 618-462-6979.

10.  Bedtime is set at 11:30 p.m., but attendees can use their own discretion if they or their kids need to go to bed earlier.
