Riverfront Toolkit, published by American Rivers, provides links to resources for riverfront revitalization including planning and financing tools, and case studies.

The Upper Mississippi River Basin Resource Manual, a listing of over 300 agencies and organizations, was developed by the EPA to be used as a networking tool for groups with an interest in protecting, preserving and/or enhancing the Upper Mississippi River Basin. 

The Catalog of Federal Funding Sources for Watershed Protection, also published by the EPA, is an update of the popular 1997 edition.  This on-line document is a resource for federal grants and loans that may be obtained for local watershed projects.  Other publications and Web sites that offer sources for funding and technical assistance are also listed.

The Bridging the River project is a collaborative effort between University of Minnesota, Augustana College, and Washington University.  This project parallels the American Heritage River Initiative by working to increase communication between river communities about their goals.  The Bridging the River web site  provides an extensive list of links to organizations, agencies and projects pertinent to Upper Mississippi River communities.
