Location and Description:  The project is located on the Salt River at Mile 63 above its confluence with the Mississippi River. This multi-purpose project provides flood risk management, hydropower, water supply, navigation storage, pollution abatement, fish and wildlife conservation, and recreation.

Activities in FY 2010 ($6,410k)

Operate and maintain project at acceptable service levels
- Complete rehab/repair of remaining four project lift stations
- Campground electrical system upgrades
- Continue Flood Supplemental repairs from FY 2009

ARRA Allocation thru 28 Feb 10 ($6,458k)
- Design/build contract for Visitor Center (awarded)
- Repair/rehab of project roadways (completed)
- CPSP Security Upgrade - Small Craft Barrier (awarded)

President’s Budget for FY 2011 ($7,841k)
- Operate and maintain project at an acceptable level of service
- Plans and specifications (P&S) and painting Re-Reg/Main Dam stoplogs and tainter gates
- P&S and painting Main Dam Bridge
- Boundary monumentation of Federal land bordering State lands
- Physical security improvements
