Project Map

Location and Description:  The Hubble Creek watershed is located in Southeast Missouri, in Cape Girardeau County, approximately 90 miles south of St. Louis, Missouri. The city of Jackson, Missouri, and nearby portions of Cape Girardeau County receives Hubble Creek flooding on a regular basis. Jackson has been growing steadily for at least the past two decades. One growth corridor is on a business loop of Interstate 55 adjacent to Hubble Creek. There may be limited opportunities for wetland creation in the riparian corridor. Potential solutions may include detention/retention reservoirs.
