To make reservations go to Recreation.gov or call 1-877-444-6777.  Eight picnic shelters may be reserved with a reservation fee of $50.  Shelter reservations can be made up to 360 days in advance or as little as 4 days in advance. You can make up to four separate reservations with one phone call. For opening and closing dates please contact the Wapappello Lake Project Office at (573)222-8562 or Recreation.gov.  All major credit cards will be accepted. If a shelter has not been reserved, it will be available free of charge on a first come, first served basis.
