Reservation
So, you want to make a reservation?
Here's how to go about it.

Camping - Individual Sites

The National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS TM) is an interagency partnership between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Forest Service with ReserveAmerica. This partnership provides an innovative, easy way to reserve Federal facilities and activities using a comprehensive, "one stop" centralized reservation service.

Reservations can be made in three easy ways:

  1. By calling a toll-free number - 1/877/444-6777 or
  2. By going to http://www.Recreation.gov/ on the Internet (this link will take you out of our website) or
  3. By visiting select field locations.

Certain campsites at Lake Shelbyville are now available for reservation. Sites will be available up to 240 days in advance. You may experience a busy signal if you reserve by telephone. The best time to call for a reservation is Saturday or Sunday.

You can now reserve picnic shelters and the group camps at Lone Point and Wilborn Creek through NRRSTM.  Group camps (other than Okaw Bluff) and picnic shelters are no longer available by calling the Lake Shelbyville Project Office.

For information about reserving these or other sites in the system, go toRecreation.gov or call 877-444-6777 toll free.

Camping - Okaw Bluff

Use of the group camp at Okaw Bluff is by permit only. Reservations can be made by calling 217/774-3951, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
