Family Campout
Where:  National Great Rivers Museum
When:  5 p.m. on Saturday  to 12 p.m. on Sunday
 

The National Great Rivers Museum annual family overnight campout will offer the chance for families to participate in astronomy, fishing, birding and kayaking just a few steps away from the Mississippi River.

 Pre Register by calling the National Great Rivers Museum at 618-462-6979 or registering online at www.mtrf.org.   One chaperone will be required for each group. The bird watching and kayaking activities will be held at the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary in West Alton, MO.  Campers are required to setup all their camping gear.  Dinner, Snacks, and breakfast will be provided.  Campers are required to bring all necessary equipment and personable belongings including bug spray, flashlights, and clothing, etc. Camping will be permitted on the museum grounds east of the picnic pavilion and restrooms.   Lifejackets will be provided for kayaking.  Only tent camping will be allowed.  No Campers.  Visit www.mvs.usace.army.mil/Rivers/WItinerary.html for a complete itinerary.

$50 per family of four and $10 each additional person.   This price includes all family campout activities, food, and basic kayak skills clinic.
