Take part in the FOURTH ANNUAL Great River
Rendezvous Race on the Mississippi River!!!
The Great River Rendezvous is the Mississippi River Water
Trail Association's second annual canoe and kayak race on the
Mississippi River from Grafton, IL to West Alton, MO. Over 50
racers will compete. There are two events: a 18-mile sport race and
a 10-mile social paddle. Both benefit the Mississippi River Water
Trail Association with a spotlight on paddling the Mississippi
River and the newly developed water trail. The Great River
Rendezvous will make a donation from the race proceeds to a
local charity. Saturday, May 22nd will be the official
race packet pick up day in Grafton, IL.
Volunteer Needs: Volunteers are needed for two shifts (9
am- 1 pm & 1 pm- 5 pm). The morning shift volunteers will help
with check-in. The afternoon shift volunteers will help with
awards ceremony and assist with cleaning up.

be one! The Mississippi River Water Trail Association, Established
in 2008, coordinates paddling events on the Mississippi River
and supports the Mississippi River Water Trail on the Upper
Mississippi River in pool 24, 25, and 26.
