    The applicant seeks authorization to conduct grading and excavation operations within waters of the United States to modify an unnamed intermittent tributary, for the purpose of increasing capacity, and to better manage the amount of runoff flowing through residential properties. The proposal plans for the improvements/modification of approximately 600 feet of channel. Location: A small unnamed tributary runs through the backyards of the south side of the 6900 block of Roland Boulevard, Northwoods, Missouri. The tributary drains approximately 40 acres of mostly quarter-acre subdivision lots. Residents in the area indicate that the tributary overflows into the residential yards every year or two. These overflows cover most of 6904 through 6944 Roland Boulevard (38.7059,-90.2855) and occasionally enters resident’s basements. The project is located in Section 28, Township 46 North, Range 6 East, St. Louis County, Missouri. Written comments must be submitted by replying by electronic mail, or written mail to the addresses shown in the signature block below. The Public Notice comment period opens on April 6, 2018, and closes on April 27, 2018.

    STATE OF MISSOURI - ISSUANCE OF REGIONAL GENERAL PERMIT (GP) 41 FOR DISASTER RECOVERY AND REPAIR ACTIVITIES. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, HAS ISSUED GP-41 for the protection and the repair of existing damaged structures, damaged land areas, and damaged fills that were previously authorized by a Department of the Army (DA) permit. GP-41 is issued under the authority of Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899 (33 USC 403) and/or Section 404 of the Clean Water Act (33 USC 1344). The GP-41 authorizes disaster recovery and repair activities within the St. Louis District’s regulatory boundary within the State of Missouri, provided that the project proponent, contractor, etc. complies with all general, special and water quality certification conditions included in GP-41. DURATION OF THE GENERAL PERMIT: The GP-41 shall be issued on April 22, 2018 and is in effect on for a period of five (5) years until April 22, 2023 unless it is specifically modified, suspended, or revoked prior to the expiration date.

    St. Louis District announces the immediate availability of MVS-RGP-44 for use by applicable public utility entities, subject to guidelines and conditions. The permit authorizes owners or operators of existing stormwater, sanitary, and combined sewer systems to conduct routine maintenance of these systems. The Corps has limited the area in which MVS-RGP-44 may be used to St. Louis City and County, St. Charles County, and Jefferson County in Missouri.
