2019 Flood Preparedness Meetings

Flood Preparedness Workshops are designed for the National Weather Service to give the spring flood outlook and to have the Local and/or County Emergency Management Agency, State Emergency Management Agency, Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Louis District available to discuss their roles in flood fight response and recovery efforts.

The workshops also discuss flood recovery, levee inspection results, the System-Wide Improvement Framework Plan, levee screenings, PL 84-99 requirements and flood repair updates, and the 408 permitting process. Attendees will have an opportunity to discuss operation and maintenance problems and overall flood preparedness.
