“Happy Earth Day!” from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District’s Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP), where every day is Earth Day.

FUSRAP makes protecting human health and the environment a priority and incorporates it into its mission statement: Provide innovative scientific and engineering solutions to radiological contamination challenges, so that communities are transformed through protecting human health and the environment, thereby enhancing the quality of life for those FUSRAP serves.

Environmental stewardship is part of FUSRAP culture -- restoring landscapes after remediation, minimizing adverse impacts on residents and area business operations, and providing safe recreational areas for the community. All that FUSRAP does is grounded in the USACE Environmental Operating Principles. (Read more about the EOPs at https://go.usa.gov/xmWqg.)
