Published Sept. 17, 2015

Mark Twain Lake September 17, 2015, Monroe City, Missouri – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake announce that construction work at the entrance of the Ray Behrens Campground will begin on September 22, 2015 weather permitting.  Due to roadway excavations the Ray Behrens Dump Station will be closed to all traffic September 22, 2015 through September 24, 2015.  During the construction period, campground visitors should expect some traffic delays while entering and/or exiting the campground.  The construction work is expected to last through the end of October 2015, with final road repairs being completed in the spring of 2016.

During this time we ask all of our recreation area visitors to follow the posted construction signage, as some entrance and exit routes will change.  We greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation with us during the construction process.
