April 7, 2014, Monroe City, Missouri The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake invite you to celebrate Earth Day by visiting the M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitor Center to enjoy the Mark Twain Elementary 1st Grade Zoo Exhibit.  It will be on display from April 12 through April 20.  The 1st Grade Zoo Exhibit is artwork created by first grade students from Hannibal’s Mark Twain Elementary School.   By building a zoo students learned important concepts in all academic areas by reading non-fiction books, researching facts about their zoo animals and how to count money.  They also studied economic concepts, animal classifications and characteristics and the use of technology.   The result of their project is on display at the M.W.
