Carlyle Lake Pool Increase and Release Forecast

CARLYLE LAKE - As of 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, the pool elevation at Carlyle Lake was 452.10 feet, referenced to the North American Vertical Datum (NAV88), with a release of approximately 8,350 cubic feet per second (cfs). The inflow for Monday, January 12, 2020 was approximately 23,400 day second feet (dsf). With current precipitation on the ground, Carlyle Lake is expected to crest at a stage of approximately 454.0 feet NAV88 on Saturday, January 18, 2020.  In accordance with the water control plan, downstream releases will be increased to 10,000 cfs by Thursday, January 15, 2020.   The Corps of Engineers continues to work closely with their partners, the Carlyle Lake Association, Mid-Kaskaskia River Association, OKAW, Inc., and the Okaw River Basin Coalition to monitor the situation.  For more information, contact the Carlyle Lake Project Office at (618) 594-2484 or email at carlylelake@usace.army.mil
